I’d jump on the train to Cadiz. Or pop down to Jerez and Sanlucar. Unbeatable food.

Went in Feb 2020, just before lockdown. Fucking amazing place, great weather. Met Roy Hodgson out there in a bar along the river, he was telling me how Palace tried to get Bowen but they could not compete with our wages.

Try and get tickets for a game, we saw Betis v Barcelona, cracking atmosphere

One of my favourite cities, enjoy

Re: Sevilla reccomendations
willtel,

We had seville flights for the Euro final and didn't fancy spending it in Seville itself with a bunch of jocks and germans so wen't down to Jerez de La Fontera.

Fantastic little place. Very Spanish with a mix of industry and traditional old town (cobbled alleys, lined with tapas bars) - would go back in a second... in fact would be going back in March but flight times didn't work so we are off to malaga :)

Re: Sevilla reccomendations
Kin hell ERNIE Betis Barcelona Wednesday night that’s something to really look forward to I’ll try and stream that.
A bar worth checking out is El Rinconcillo it’s about three hundred years old and central wine, tapas is the bollocks but always packed.
If you fancy a change get the rattler from Seville main station to Cordoba not far and trains are cheap and very efficient.
Have a great time mate,I’m well envious

How's Seville ERNIE? I'm due to go there with pals and are riding there on motorbikes for the Jerez Moto GP.

Two of my mates want to spend 2 nights at Seville to look around on 26 & 27 April when the Spring Fair is on apparently. I'd rather get to Jerez but is it worth an extra day stop over?

Ernie - We watched the West Ham City game in the Merchant last season.

We stayed next to the Betis stadium.

Re: Sevilla reccomendations
Lucky you, can’t recommend a bar showing football but Seville is my favourite city in Europe you could possibly have the weather on your side even at this time of year.
Santa Cruz district is lovely, have a mince around the backstreets great tapes bars and beer/ wine at really cheap prices.
Have a walk over the river and have a look around Tirana which once was the poor part of city home of flamenco great tapas bars and home to Real Betis.everywhere worth seeing is walkable.

Have a great time sure you will.

Re: Sevilla reccomendations
The Merchant is decent.

So many good bars there, a lovely place. Both sides of the river

This place had some of the best tapas a lovely pork cheek that melted in the mouth.

Re: Sevilla reccomendations
It’s a place with hundreds of good bars and restaurants. Literally everywhere. There’s a street just behind main cathedral which has dozens of places. Avoid oneills

Re: Sevilla reccomendations
Was there in September and hope to go back this Easter for the big ceremony at the cathedral. One of my favourite cities, loads to do and see there, wish I'd discovered it 30 years ago.
